Diabeetiline polüneuritis

Diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) is defined as peripheral nerve dysfunction. There are three main alterations involved in the pathologic changes of DPN: inflammation, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction. Inflammation induces activation of nuclear factor kappa B, activator protein.

Polyneuropathy is damage to multiple nerves outside of the brain and central nervous system. This can cause pain, discomfort, and mobility difficulties. This MNT Knowledge Center article discusses.

In addition, medications such as methotrexate and tumor necrosis factor inhibitors may cause the nodules, or exacerbate their development; or, auditory neuropathy--the condition in which sound is not transmitted satisfactorily; physical reasons may not be obvious, and it may be due to vasculitis (inflammation), as part of mononeuritis multiplex, that is, a condition that affects separate nerve.

In the literature reviewed, most of case reports of ESFA are associated with reactive conditions like burn scar ulcer, bullous pemphigoid, erosive palmoplantar lichen planus and peristomal skin or associated with numerous conditions like nevus sebaceous, hidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, and diabetic polyneuropathy.

In regards to the pathophysiology of polyneuropathy, of course, the former depends on which polyneuropathy. For instance in the case of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, one finds that it is a autoimmune disease. Here, T cells involvement has been demonstrated, while in terms of demyelination, antibodies alone are not capable.

Peripheral neuropathy, often shortened to neuropathy, is a general term describing disease affecting the peripheral nerves, meaning nerves beyond the brain and spinal cord. Damage to peripheral nerves may impair sensation, movement, gland or organ function depending on which nerves are affected; in other words, neuropathy affecting motor.
